My check engine light went off at 70k miles. I threw the switch myself. I had it for eight years until someone stoled it. It was a fun vehicle to ride. I would take it to the beaches in Florida and camping in the Florida State parks. I also took it muddying in Seminole county. I also pulled an S10 Chevy pickup truck stuck in the mud.

I loved my Samurai.

We put a new engine in our 1996 Suzuki Sidekick a while back... This vehicle just keeps on trucking! So cheap to drive... We love it. This is the perfect vehicle for preppers or anyone getting ready for the apocalypse.

I own a Sammy.
Yer right, in hill country it’s gonna get there last.
5th gear only give you about 500 RPM. But on flat roads it will in fact cruise nicely at 70/75.
It’s loud up there, but it does it.
Overpass will bring you down to 60.
It’s built for off-road.
That’s where it shines.
Fun video. Thanks.

Awsome video, I just bought a 86 sanarai last night for 3 grand, drove it home on I-5 from north of Seattle to Elma Washington about 70 miles doing 60-65 mph. 5th gear work well on flat or down hill. But this answered every question I had. Thanks

You may have miss spoke but you should get heat from below & through the defroster there is a door at bottom of heater to regulate how much goes to either one. Every Sammy I've had the wipers work great (I'm from Oregon)but why I'm here I want to share... before your window crank handle strips out & the door handles break, when you feel resistance take a can of lube with the straw squirt in the door lock & pivot points on outer handle then inside remove door card & shoot anything that moves...do this whenever you feel the need. Don't break your handles

Hello, I have been watching your videos and they are pretty good a really like the mountain of knowledge that you possess on these little monsters. I do have one question well I have many but for right know I am trying to just figure out the differences on the SJ 410 and the SJ 413 is it just the years and width base, gear ratio, dash and engine size. oh and I looked on your website but didn't see any merchandise t- shirts or hats.

This is the most Wisconsin sounding tutorial in the world. As a life long Wisconsinite I love it.
I was waiting for and “ope” on the reset switch. Great content.

Great video. I just purchased a 1988 tin can to work on. I have always been a vintage Jeep guy so the Samurai is a new adventure. Purchased a barely running tin can for $2, 900 but it now purrs like a kitten - amazing how an inverted fuel line filter, dirty carb, loose serpentine belt and jacked-up vacuum lines effect performance (the seller was not mechanically inclined at all). This will be a fun project and the heater box drill trick will be on my list. Take care from Minnesota.

That light indicates you, it's time to check your engine, if everything is ok, turn the light off, if not, then fix it and that light will turn on again whe necessary
I had the previous model for 12 year before it was stolen two days after the replacement of clutch and brakes.
It was excellent, wish I still has it.
