This is a multi-directional cutting drill with the Montante, a kind of two-handed sword from Spain and Portugal. It covers 8 basic cuts: 4 with the back edge, 4 with the front edge. There is no footwork except a pivot in place to change directions. The sword is 5 feet long and weighs about 5 pounds.

Excellent work, thank you for putting thees videos up comrade.  Question who made that montante and is it blunt or sharp? I'll be in the market to buy one soon and I'd like to know of quality 2 handed swords, I'v been looking at LUTEL's.  Thank you for your time and please keep making video's.

Matt, I'm looking for source material for Montante guards and cutting, but most of what I've found are the techniques for handling specific situations. Can you point me to any sources for guards, cutting, and footwork for the Montante? Thanks.
