I got a pair of those boots too. Mine are about 5 years old and still wear them everyday. Irish Setter Boots are the only boot I wear. Just oil them once in a while and they will stay waterproof and looking like new.

I have the 1000 gram elk trackers and we’re them for work and hunting. Very warm and very comfortable. They didn’t leak when I had them for 5 years but then I had them “resoled” and I’ve noticed a bit of leaking but I still love them

I have a pair with the 600gram insulation bought them in 2010 and have beat the crap out of them hunting/guiding and they still don't leak to this day. The key is to keep the leather conditioned and I use mink oil/wax.

Rocky Boots Quality is nothing like they use to be.
Wouldn’t waste my time or money on anything Rocky.
I have several pairs of the Wingshooters and love them for work and Bird Hunting and even have a pair for going out.
These Elk Trackers have me very interested.

I've had mine just over 2 years. I don't wear them a ton, just for hunting and camping when it's really cold out. The soles are already separating from the bottom. When I 1st got these, the 1st week one of the speed hooks pulled loose. The store 1 bought them from didn't want to do anything about it. I had to raise a stink about it, they eventually refunded me and I bought them from a different Redwing store.

Hey bud. What part NF u from or at? I chose the new leather insulated Ravines over the elktrackers and I run a pair of first lite gaiters with them when needed. Mostly snow shoeing, deer hunting and hiking in Southern Alberta. Cheers and thanks for review.

How old are those? I don't think they use that logo anymore..

Any thoughts on these compared to the Wolverine Big Horn? Big Horn used to have Gore-Tex and Thinsulate but now they use Wolverine's PC-Dry and some weird foam insulation. I have a 14-year-old pair of Big Horns that has served well, but nothing lasts forever; been eyeing the Elk Tracker for a while now.

One day out says nothing about these boots except that they look good. My Irish Setter Trail Phantoms lasted only 10 months so I'm not ready to shell out $190. to $240. on a pair of Chinese boots.
