This is approved by the Department of Redundancy Department for extreme verbosity and wordiness in the extreme.

Clapton won't say anything about Page only proves they're still friends. You can be pissed at a friend without dragging him thru the mud.

How does Roger Waters pictured, figure into the story of Page/Clapton!??

Page will always be the Master Orchestral Songwriter of rock guitar. Led Zeppelin’s catalog is a testament to this. He was always a visionary artist. Page was, is and will always be on another level compared to the rest.

Simple, Eric believes Jimmy put out a record that he played on and didn’t share copyright in the mid sixties but Jimmy didn’t have any control over the release, it’s a sleazy business and musicians huge ego’s get in the way.

I went to the 83 LA show to see them and support Lane, Clapton came out first, he was great, Page came out 2nd, he was great. Then Beck came out 3rd, and wiped the floor with them back and forth over and over again, no contest. I had never seen Beck live before. Then they all played Train Kept a Rollin- just phenomenal- I will never forget, it was one of the bests things I''ve ever seen I've told this story many times.

The reason he was called slow hand was because when when Clapton would break a guitar string during a concert and replace it on stage, the English audience would wait by doing a "slow handclap". It was a play on his name slow hand CLAPton.

I love both guitarists although Zeppelin has been my favorite band since I was 10 years old I'm 53 now. And although I love Clapton and he's definitely one of the best blues play in guitarist I've ever heard I'd have to pick Page and Zeppelins work over him because of how versatile page was in all their songs they did so many different styles of Blues and folk mixed with heavy Rock with a lot broader span of Blues than anybody has done to date that's my humble opinion but I love Clapton he's one of my all-time favorites along with Stevie Ray Vaughan Jeff Beck and a few others

Just wanna say that Jeff has been playing a part in bonding them together over the years, since Jeff is good friends with both of them, and now he is gone... RIP

we will never see music like we did during this time frame. You went from the Beatles maturing into rock royalty in 1965-70 and it just set a wave of great music.. The Who, The Rolling Stones, and The Kinks.. Then came Clapton with Cream and Hendrix with his masterpieces.. Heck, Donovan had a solid album as well during that time! But the glory of Led Zeppelin upped the ante and bands had to follow or risk getting left behind. Thats when The Who and Stones made their best records. Even The Doors in the US were in on this rock n roll mastery. Then the heavier stuff of Black Sabbath and Deep Purple.. Pink Floyd found their place and along came ACDC, Aerosmith, and ZZ Top.. From 1965-1980 was a period of absolutely legendary rock music. Think of the bands.. the tracks.. the records.. the vocals.. the GUITARISTS during that time all in their prime contributing to music we still get inspired by.

One big factor in the differences between Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page, would be that one sings while playing guitar, and the other just plays guitar - especially true while performing live. I believe that both musicians, in their own rights, are two of the best in what and how they play. Remember, music is mostly in the ears, minds and emotions of the beholders. Both pioneers . But Jeff Beck took it further than anyone as both Clapton and Page said .

This is overstated. They were never close. To imply they had some deep bonds and a hard breakup that took decades to heal is BS.
They were musicians that came of age from the same 'scene', but their careers had few overlaps. They both made millions and were busy as heck. They probably did not spend time even thinking about each other except when the media asked them to or they heard the other's commercial work.

Clapton, Page, Beck — the Trinity Father, Son, Holy Ghost…
They changed it all, so happy I experienced it as a teenager. This narrative is trying to make a story where there is none. They are all influential masters, but totally different personalities. I’m sure they knew each other but probably not besties. Mutual admiration society is more realistic. To this next generation, do yerself a favor and listen to all 3, forget the backstory and enjoy the music.

Roger Waters is not the subject of this story, why put a picture of him in there?

Clapton, Page and Beck are all terrific in different ways. Clapton is by far the best singer and has been a prolific song writer. Page is a great acoustic player, band leader and producer. Beck is very innovative and did great work in jazz fusion.

I play guitar myself and jimmy page wrote and produced all of led Zeppelins music....he was into dark magic and I don't know if he sold his soul to Satan but zoso a word on a album cover is actually a name of a powerful entity or demon... Clapton was a great musician also...but Page was in a world of his own ....I've learned a few songs from Zeppelin and I will say The tuning on some of the songs is outrageous....drop D is one of them and many musicians use that tuning because using power chords is really heavy but they only tune down the E string...But when you tune completely down like he did in many of his songs is beautiful what he wrote....
