You can make 700-800 on an N54 which is forged from factory and it won’t have terrible efficiency.

With mx-5 build what do people do to battle traction besides just being the best driver they can be. Some people have mentioned throwing safety to the wind and sticking auxiliary gas and nitrous tanks into the trunk space, is that worth it?

An 88-91 RX7 is a gutless pig on the bottom end as a street car. The next generation was a much better street car.
I used to watch small Datsuns and early Mazdas with fully built engine swapped 13b's absolutely terrorize fast V8's at the drag strip though. Pulling wheelies and crazy trap speeds. Honestly a rotary engine is about the worst for a street car.
No torque, and lives off boost. I've driven the old NA rotaries too. Absolutely gutless until the 13b turbos which are probably the overall best cars of that era even over Supras .

Cant you put power into any car ? I mean it’s just a shell right, the way they mod everything and put different motors etc in it .. I guess it comes down to weight of the chassis / car and how big of a motor fits in it

Use to be really into the jdm game but the time and money that comes with it is absolutely insane. No warrenty, parts over seas, un related problems like electrical .. better off buying a up to date vehicle with warranty that you can get parts easy
