Amazing, amazing gig. I was there. This was SO much better than their Glastonbury set the same year.
How utterly amazing is it to hear all the crowd singing along.

This Glasgow version of Karma Police is one of the best I've ever heard ---- as I suppose one would have to expect from this festival. The audience reaction to this song demonstrates Sublimity, Euphoria, and Romantic Love gone wholly sex-crazy is still possible even in an era as neurotic as this one, where so many moralistas have appointed themselves as THE KARMA POLICE.

This song by this band, echoing in a field and in the mouths of hundreds of thousands of deeply feeling people radiates as one of the zeniths of Western Civilization, a white-hot height, felt now, as anyone can see it, and known by other generations for years & years to come----even the anthropologists one day will understand the emotive profundity exploding here, a mass-love swelling onto what it means to be human.
