I got a pair of channel locks at HF (Doyle).- A 20' set. I've used them twice when no other tool would work. Some day you might consider having that. Also, I carry 3 different tool boxes on my rig: A big plastic one that's actually a Plano tackle box that is really a better "central" tool box that carries most of what I need. Then I have a small 12" plastic tool box with a tray and compartments for fuses and connectors. I found that electrical stuff is used much more than practically anything else. Finally, I carry a canvas Bucket Boss bag that has plumber's grease, hose washers, hose clamps and other misc. stuff that I use mostly on fixing other peoples' rigs. Surprising how many people go rv'ing without even any basic tools or supplies.

I'm going to the NRVTA in September to become a certified technician. This will be a total career change for me.. super excited. I'm an older gal, so I have quite a tool stash... but, your video pointed out some good suggestions for tools that count. I agree, tool shopping is a good day.

My combo ratcheting screwdriver is my multi tool. So much so that I keep in my kitchen drawer. I bought it at Ace Hardware many years ago. I think it was on one of those check out stand impulse buy things. I don't remember if it even has a real brand name.

I use an amp meter but I personally use my Centek (HF) much more with what I do.

I LOVE that you do RV repairs and drive a KIA Seoul.
I'm getting hooked on your channel
Do you do consults?
We (my son and I) are kicking around the idea of learning to be rv mechanics by "flipping" my rv which was a nice on the outside (but unbeknownst to me) has had hidden horrors we are discovering inside.
I feel like i might get honest conversations from you as opposed to the BS I have gotten when I have taken myself and the rig (which i live in full time) to Camping world and hope they can fix the problem in an afternoon (usually not)
Also is there a market for just doing solar panels repair and installing?
We are in TX so wondering if that was a specialty market that would be worthwhile since we don't have the money for the course you took (we are just north of Dallas)
Thx!!❤❤
Having inverter problems and so far can't find many videos talking about troubleshooting

Like the tip on the ladder, I just got a cheap step ladder, awning job. But to get on the roof I'm wondering about leaning a step ladder on the RV. I'd be more worried about causing damage to the edge vs using their ladder. Do you secure it against slippage, thinking the, getting back on ladder, part is the most dangerous time. While I'm here. AC replacement. I'm 60 and cannot be carrying an AC up and down a ladder. Any ideas to overcome that? Seems like a service I can do but can't provide if I can't get it up there. TY

Did you have to get the little giant ladder for school? How strict are they on tool list? Like the name brand stuff they push.

Very cool. Im gonna start out in the detailing dept. of an RV dealer until I can get enough tools and more knowledge to be a tech. 🔧🎒 I got a collection of cheap basic tools.🧰 Cool to see what actually works tho.🤘 I need better channels and sockets all around😂😂
That Klein meter would be nice to!🪫
Ya.. i got a small set of nut drivers that suit me just fine 🔩🪛
I got an addiction to lights😂🔦 🕯️ ⚡💡🔋
Be cool to learn stuff and advance my skills instead of some other dumb, dead end job!😂😂🥳🧑‍🔧🤑
