Tracking Skate Block Hybrid - Tower Rescue Training

This video is a review of a tracking line being used with a skate block line in order to get the package out farther from the structure than what a twin tensioned skate block system would allow but still less than having a twin tracking line setup. in this system the tracking line is used along with a Petzl ASAP making it a hybrid system acting as a tracking line offset and a belay.

Hello and huge fan of this but lately I’ve been running into safety dudes and saying we shouldn’t do this because it loads one side of the double pulley. For all the haters, Could you provide clarification on the load distribution when using the hybrid skate block system, particularly regarding the concern some have raised about placing ‘too much weight’ on the tracking side of the double pulley? Based on our understanding, the forces applied to the tracking line are managed within acceptable limits when the system is properly rigged, but we’d appreciate your insights on how this setup maintains balance and mitigates overloading on that side
