Yknow what I love about this performance. It’s not actually his natural accent. It’s slightly exaggerated because he’s playing someone doing an accent. Which makes sense and is in character but it also shows how good an actor Tennant is

What I think is funny, is that because David is Scottish, he didn't have to "fake" a Scottish accent. And when Billy Piper, who is English tried to, he was like "Don't do that. " which is really an "in-joke" - I suspect that Scots can do an English accent (as Tenant does as the doctor) much better than the other way around - I wonder how many times they had to re-shoot the scene because of Tenant or Piper laughing!
