More than 40 paintings were exhibited in many different styles and sizes during the holiday celebration, which was organised by the Press and Communication Office of Greece in Brussels, with the support of the MEPs of SYRIZA and the presence of MEPs from almost all Greek parties and more.

A special, Christmas Event at the Heart of the EU
A cold night in Brussels, the European Parliament dressed up in its festive clothes, featuring colour, flavours, dances and songs from Greece. The Christmas celebration was organised by the Press and Communication Office of Greece in Brussels, with the support of the MEPs of SYRIZA and the presence of MEPs from all parties, with the participation of cultural organisations from Greece as well as from Greeks of Belgium. There, among songs, dances and Greek dishes, paintings on Greece were exhibited, by the painter and writer Tamar Levi.
Tamar Levi:
"I accepted the invitation to exhibit my works here at this celebration. We lived in Greece, we traveled to Greece and I was inspired by the different landscapes. Every time I visit Greece, I am thrilled by so many different environments. You can travel all the time and the images can be completely different from each other. So as an artist this is inspiration - the variety of colours, lights, and even the different architecture from one city to another. I grew up in Alaska (USA) and my friends are very amazed that I fell in love with such a hot country and I invite everyone to visit this beautiful country. This mix of civilizations, Alaska and Greece, is interesting. I hope this year will be progressively positive as it was last year, getting better and better. Happy holidays everyone and thank you for today. "

Το Ευρωκοινοβούλιο «γέμισε» Ελλάδα
Μια ιδιαίτερη, χριστουγεννιάτικη γιορτή στην Καρδιά της ΕΕ
Μια κρύα βραδιά στις Βρυξέλλες το Ευρωπαϊκό Κοινοβούλιο ντύθηκε στα γιορτινά του, με χρώμα, γεύσεις, χορούς και τραγούδια από την Ελλάδα. Την Χριστουγεννιάτικη γιορτή διοργάνωσε το Γραφείο Τύπου και Επικοινωνίας της Ελλάδας στις Βρυξέλλες, με την υποστήριξη των Ευρωβουλευτών του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ και την παρουσία Ευρωβουλευτών όλων των κομμάτων, ενώ συμμετείχαν πολιτιστικοί φορείς από την Ελλάδα, καθώς και Ελλήνων του Βελγίου. Εκεί, ανάμεσα στα τραγούδια, τους χορούς και τα ελληνικά εδέσματα, εκτέθηκαν έργα ζωγραφικής με θέμα την Ελλάδα, από την ζωγράφο και λογοτέχνη Ταμάρ Λέβι.
Ταμάρ Λέβι:
«Αποδέχτηκα την πρόσκληση να εκθέσω τα έργα μου εδώ σε αυτή τη γιορτή. Ζήσαμε στην Ελλάδα, ταξιδέψαμε στην Ελλάδα και εμπνεύστηκα πολύ από τα διαφορετικά τοπία. Κάθε φορά που επισκέπτομαι την Ελλάδα, ενθουσιάζομαι από τα τόσα διαφορετικά περιβάλλοντα. Μπορείς να ταξιδεύεις συνεχώς και οι εκόνες να είναι τόσο διαφορετικές. Για τον καλλιτέχνη αυτό είναι έμπνευση – η ποικιλία χρωμάτων, φωτός, ακόμα και η διαφορετική αρχιτεκτονική από πόλη σε πόλη. Μεγάλωσα στην Αλάσκα (ΗΠΑ) και οι φίλοι μου είναι ενθουσιασμένοι που ερωτεύτηκα μια τόσο ζεστή χώρα και τους καλώ όλους να επισκεφθούν αυτή την όμορφη χώρα. Έχει ενδιαφέρον αυτή η μίξη πολιτισμών, της Αλάσκας και της Ελλάδας. Εύχομαι αυτή η χρονιά να είναι προοδευτικά θετική όπως η περσινή. Χρόνια πολλά σε όλους τους ανθρώπους και ευχαριστούμε για σήμερα.»
