SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT MARKETING Credit: 1/2 unit
Eligible Grade Level: 10, 11, 12
Prerequisites: None.

Students will apply marketing principles and theories to sports and entertainment industries. Topics will include the functions of marketing, target marketing, market segmentation, sponsorship, promotions, event marketing, endorsements, advertising, public relations and careers in sports and entertainment marketing. The marketing concepts learned through the study and investigation of the marketing techniques used in college and professional sports as well as in the movie and the music industries.
