A friend has a rottweiler who knows me like family. One day I went to my friends house and heard the barking of what anyone else would think is a hellhound. I simple knocked on the door and yell, "Calm down Dutch, it's just me!" as soon as I opened the door, I saw him sitting on the floor, little stubby tail wagging and the biggest dumbest smile on his face.

I sadly lost my big black bear Benson 2 weeks ago today. My heart bleeds. He was the most loving, kind, playful softie you could ever hope for. Absolutely wonderful around kids and other people and dogs, not cats so much! He was an ambassador for the breed! He's back home now, thankfully, so at least I can still talk to him. I do miss him. He touched so many peoples lives. He made it to 14 happy years so, as the adage goes, a very good innings! God bless you Benny Boy, love from us all xxx

Forty years ago I brought my wife and two year old son to see the most beautiful guard dog I found in the liquor store around the corner from where we were moving in . My son took one look at this 140 Lb. Rottweilers and THREW himself on him . Victor looked up with out even flinching, looked at my son with the expression of, Oh one of those, and went back to sleep. I always wished we could have had a pup of his blood line .
