In this video I have shown the steps to insert an #EXCEL #TABLE into #AutoCAD.
Step 1: Define Name in excel by selecting the table range.
Step 2: Opening Data Link Manager in AutoCAD & Link with the excel spreadsheet
Step 3: Draw the table.
I have also shown how to update a data linked table when the source excel table will change.
and I have also shown how to deattach data link from a Data linked table.
This is helpful for the engineers to prepare detail drawings in AutoCAD, where table is required to attach to autocad.
this is very helpful to import a bar bending schedule table in to autocad.

Thanks for this video. I/We have had a custom software add-on (for years) and it made BOM's so easy to make, delete/change, etc. We are now using AutoCAD/CADworx2020 (and starting 2022 versions soon). The software (add-on) was great, until 2020 came out. This should help with the speed were lost from that software not being compatible anymore with AutoCAD/CADworx. I've heard of others using an Excel to AutoCAD trick but never saw it in action from anyone around me. This will help! Cheers.

This is very useful. Thank-you. Quick question, with newer versions of AutoCAD and excel, have they improved the technology so that the formatting from excel also gets updated? For example, if there are cells in excel highlighted with a specific colour. This colour formatting does show up when you bring in the table initially, but if those cell colours change in excel, the AutoCAD Data Link "Download Changes from Source File" only updates the font, but not the formatting colour changes. Any solutions?

What if I'm missing the linked excel file? Will I still be able to modify the table? (I am able to change values, but did not figure it out how to delete or insert columns/rows, for example.

how do you scale it up in autocad and keep the formatting? when i scale it up or adjust the column/row heights, the font size doesn't change.

Thank you, man! I have more then 10 years excperience in AutoCAD and stumbled upon the problem, that when I import a xcl table in dwg file, my Cyrilic font goes nuts. My regional settings are to Bulgarian, everything is set, but still.... Windows 10, AutoCAD 2016 (my pc is old, so I chose this version). Video card supporting OpenGL 3 or more. With your method Cyrilic is ok! Hugs! You are great!

how to display all coordinate values? when I tried it only appeared a maximum of 7 numeric characters, even though the coordinate values were up to 10 or 11 characters
