Hi! Twitter ARMY here, also Jk biased, I enjoyed the parody immensely, so many of us are so misunderstood by our family and friends that these creative works mean a lot to us!

Since I come from twitter (X) I feel I have to also address for non BTS ARMY . Idol singers in South Korea enlist all the time due to mandatory enlistment, so it is common for fans to use the "wives" narrative.
We are a huge global community and have actual wives of people serving in armed forces all over the world. We have had discussion about us joking about being "army wives" before with them. As a fandom we deliberately exaggerate about our love for BTS for comic relief all the time. This does not mean that we don't acknowledge the hardships that are very real to the family and friends of people in the armed forces.

We are a diverse worldwide fandom that believes in creating community and spreads love and joy which is what we receive from BTS. If you look us up you will find a lot of social work done by BTS ARMY and on other social media there are great think pieces about many subjects as theses.
