This is a fun and easy way to make some credits. What I like to do is play some missions and do some exploring till I get about 100k credits, then I use that money to register ships that I steal and then sell them for profit. I do this for awhile till I have made a reasonable amount of credits and then I go build and upgrade ships. Glad you have fun doing this as well. One problem I do have at times is finding a consistent spot to steal ships. I like going to Serpentis, Masada, Hawking, Celebria, Archimedas, and a couple other systems to n that area but it can be hit and miss I have found or I just keep finding less valuable ships. Since it seems to be very random I just bounce around till I find a system with some action. Love your helpful videos !!’

There is no reason to loot the ships, i focus on looting the bodies and looking for contraband. The items in chests and cargo will become yours when you take control of the ship. Fyi doing it this way also removes the stolen tags from the items.

Another pro tip would be to un dock from your ship, move away from your ship and lock onto it first. Then go into ship menu and click on make your pirated ship your home ship then register it if you want to. Exit the menu and immediately dock with your original ship. Board your original ship sit down in the pilot seat and make your original ship your home ship. Undock and watch your pirated ship fly away to your saved inventory and all items from that pirated ship will be sent to your cargo. Then keep on farming ships with your main ship.

You are missing an important technique.
Angry Turtle had a vid showing : 1) you disable the ship 2) sit in the pilot seat 3) undock, then turn straight to your home ship 4) only THEN do you make the captured ship your home ship...
The result is, you have your original in full view, ready to board again (R) before it flies away.
If you are quick, you can capture multiple ships in the same encounter!

That's a funny coincidence - I'd just changed my ship from having a mix of weapons to just 6 Vanguard Obliterators and 2 EM weapons for just this purpose.
My only issue is that I need to get my mobility and top speed up - might have to do some experimenting with engines and maybe drop some mass, as she is a chonky beast.

Apparently I’ve been sleeping on the EM weapons. I’ve “found” unwanted ships mainly from one landing on whatever rock I happen to be on. This might change my ship rehoming business for the g good.

Looking for ships to fight/board? Serpentis system for Va’lruun ships. IXYLL system has been good for Spacers and Ecliptic ships.

If you want to board a ship, just aim for engines straight away. Reach 500m and board.

Your ship design is very nimble, which I enjoy in space dogfights. I used this design and edited it to look as much like the sentinel machines from the Matrix. Of course, looking like they have six of their tentacles forward for laser target practice.

You still have missiles though? When I try to have just lasers and ballistics in the shipbuilder it won’t let me confirm because I apparently need 3 weapon systems, is there a way around this?

Love this build. IDK why I cant replicate it tho. I cant find the grave drive you have or the reactor or the engines nowhere to be found anywhere and I can only fit 4 engines before I run out of juice. so I dont have nearly your speed or weapon power but even still shes a beast :D great build
