The 24-70 is a great lens that I own and love shooting with it and is often my go to lens. It takes amazing portraits. I have not experienced the out of focus issues that you mention.

My issue with the a7iii in Hawaii was a less than optimal rolling shutter. I stepped up to the mound and dumped the a7iii and invested in the a7Siii with the 24-70 GM 2.8. NOW I will be tuning my focus onto the a7iv. Thank you for reminding me of my decisions.

When you shoot with primes it's almost exclusively with 35 and 50. With the 24-70 GM you used from 24 to 30 suprisingly often.

Between this and the 85mm1.4, I just love the pictures that come out of the 85mm even though its not as flexible... it sparks magic haha

my 24-70 gmaster. If love my primes too but sometimes you just really need a zoom especially if you don't know where you're going to be shooting so the ability to do wide and mid tele is so nice!
