I am learning so much from your videos, current ones, and when I binge on your older ones. I am 84 and am selling my life! Mostly on eBay and Etsy: I have 8 decades of antique, vintage collections, crafts tools and supplies, vintage dancing costuming, collectibles, fabrics, linens, on and on. I source from my attic and figure I have thousands of items to list. I will sell it all or die, whichever comes first, lol.

Kevin! I couldn't find the comment the other day that you lost Sophie. I'm SO sorry! I shed tears with you and your family.

I retired from full-time work and was going to get a part-time job, but am having a number of medical issues. Hoping for a more flexible job, I tried the reselling gig and really enjoy it. I’ve learned so much watching videos from different resellers to get a balanced diet of ideas. Ultimately it’s up to each individual how their business is done. I’ve intentionally disregarded some basic advice because it’s MY business, it’s MY decision. I don’t waste time telling others what they’re doing wrong.

I used to just sell toys, but since I started watching your channels this spring, I sell pretty much anything. My sells are way up.

You are 100% correct that is exactly exactly how we run our eBay full-time.
I’m always buying collections looking for collections. Everything from toy collections to whatever I can turn over into cash..
I avoided that middle man many years ago and just eliminated him for the most.
We were able to build up a big enough bank to where we were able to go into the estates into these companies and buy them out .
We were never able to do that and now we have that power to point .
And that’s why we’re over to shop Commons.
But you were dead on 1000% what you said about how you would have to source if you weren’t in the place where you are now.
It’s still fun. We’re still meeting people and finding cool things. But it’s definitely a lot of different sourcing. This is what I do for survival

All I can say is thanks❤! Advice about anything one is interested in is all welcome.

You are so patient with the reactive people who don't bother to do the research and find out what your channel is all about. But, at least you got an honest, open dialogue out of it. I look at the way my own reselling has changed over the years and I can't imagine thinking there's only one way to be a reseller. You definitely have the right temperament for social media success and that's an important point too... not everyone can be "your kind of reseller" ;)

We have started cleaning out houses but lost of treasures if you don’t get overwhelmed. We are lucky enough to have a small farm so have a Dumpster, donate some and sell the rest!

Hey Kevin, great video man! Had the same thing on a sale yesterday, bought as a gift, don't include invoice and asked me to not use Ebay tape on the box. That's a first for me. Take Care

Currently an everything seller... I am a small part time seller, but been looking
to get into 2 or 3 different niches, and selling off the rest, just to focus on really capitalizing on the things I am passionate about.

I'm just getting back into reselling. I had a honey hole thrift store down the street. Went there the other day & the owner has done lost her mind with her prices!!! I walked out with nothing 😂

I know a couple that own a vintage store, and get lots of their products from doing house clean outs, and she said they have no competition cleaning out houses.

I would love for you to implement a white board and "teach" for a few videos a month. That would be cool.

I sell vinyl records at local shows / world widemailorder on Discogs in North Carolina and make 25k-30k extra a year, not my primary job but its fun....will probably do it in retirement as well

I'm back to hobby buying at tag sales. It's just as well, given how horrible it was all Spring, Summer and now Fall. A toy reseller I know said the same thing. In my area rent is pushing $2000/month for a one-bedroom, so even full-time resellers using every trick Kevin mentions can't make a primary income out of it. The reasons are a combination of inflation from heck and the Smartphone Effect. (everyone researches what they have and want full retail for it or close.) Estate sales here are few and far between too; they've gone on line and the prices are jacked up. The ones that are left are often not worth the time. Thrift store prices aren't thifty any more. A niche reseller here has to broaden out or get out. Those who have medical limitations (hand raised) may not be able to do what it takes. I was a jewelry seller who sold just about anything I could lift, but was forced out of the game unless I wanted to lose my medical coverage among other problems.

make a living does not hinge on how much you make it is a combination of your overhead versus your intake..so I can make a really good living whereas some people need more. If you have a need for high extraction rate because of high overhead then you probably will have a much harder time making a living.
