VW Composition Media force reboot restart (Golf Passat Jetta Transporter)

How to force reboot Volkswagen Composition Media system if screen freezes or you made some changes to the module coding that require restarting the device in order to changes take place.
This procedure should work in most modern VW multimedia systems.

My stero has started starting up on the mpg screen instead Of the radio so now i havw to press radio every time any ideas

Perhaps you might know - I bought a new iPhone SE and loaded it onto my 2013 VW Passat TDI Nav System. After 10 minutes the entire system shuts down and reboots on it's own. When it's preparing to shut down, the volume controls don't respond, the station cannot be changed and you can't turn the system OFF. I've deleted all other phones that were previously loaded up. I've deleted the new iPhone SE and have reinstalled it twice now but the problem persists. Any suggestions? Is this an "old software/new iPhone software issue?

My screen on my 2016 jetta tsi just stopped working I new it couldn't of bee that bad because it was still working with my blue tooth and my backup camera I held the power button until the unit restart and now works perfectly 😅.

Anyone know how to do a hard reset.. My discover pro.. Doesn't turn on when you Start the car..but it starts working when you do the reset in the video.. And you have to Re-boot it every time after leaving the car for a while.
