About the song:

Iglu & Hartly’s Heat of the Moment is a momentous pop-rock affair oozing a ‘do or die’ energy. Unabashedly nostalgic for over the top 1980’s synth rock, Heat of the Moment takes no prisoners while standing firm in the modern zeitgeist. Indeed Heat of the moment even references the famous ‘Swing Batter Batter’ line from the 80s classic Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Consider yourself warned as a ‘Kung Fu The Legend Continues’ style Japanese flute ushers in the timeless chorus while the glittery production builds into a euphoric climax.

A playful action packed adventure, Heat of the Moment emboldens with second hand exhilaration as singer/producer Jarvis Anderson belts ‘In the Heat of The Moment, you gotta own it’. In true Iglu & Hartly fashion Heat of The Moment dances with a variety of vocal styles and 80’s inspired synth licks and guitars that would be right at home in the original ‘Top Gun’ movie.

Undeniably musical, Heat of the Moment is an exorbitant alt pop banger that could give Walk the Moon's ‘Shut up and Dance’ a run for its money.

Quote from Singer and Producer Jarvis Anderson:

“I wanted to create a song that is fun, empowering in a big summertime way. I wrote through the mind's eye of a young man, building up the courage to make a big move with a love interest. The production of the song built itself from there, fueled by my need to scratch an itch to make a truly epic and nostalgic chorus.”

I've never known a band to have hit after hit with such consistency - the new album is going to be wall to wall classics! Back when Cooler came out I never knew we'd be on such a roll two years later!!!
