3ds Max Tutorial: Edit Poly Modifier

In this tutorial, I cover the edit poly object type and edit poly modifier in 3ds Max.

With the "Poly Select" modifier (not "Edit Poly") we can select some sub-objects inside the primitve object and apply more modifiers on that selection. As I was able to confirm, we can do the same with the "Edit Poly" modifier, having the latter much more functionality... Does anyone know what is the point of using "Poly Select" modifier then?
