I like this excerpt on our stance. Some will probably recognize a lot of Bruce Lee but the true fact is that this stance is a logic result of the WKL PWC horse stance, in a fighting setting. If you have to do something which goes against your nature or natural body mechanics, then definitely there is something wrong. That's why we don't have the YGKYM.

Second, as Sifu stated, your stance should be such that you can BOTH be like a tree (no matter how much pressure from above, you would still be anchored in the ground) AND at the same time move your 100-200pounds in an almost free way (like walking on clouds).

I got to know my physical possibilities when I joined Sifu. I initially joined a lineage before (a big name) where they emphasized forward intent. Everything went well....TILL I got to know WKL practitioners with whom the forward intent is gone in the wind as you simply don't feel the arms. The issue is that when you don't feel the arms or the energy of the opponent, there is no forward intent possible to be executed.

That's the beauty of the art!
