Great video on Liz, I've got a theory on the myth behind the whole vampire/bathing in blood thing. I've seen and read at times she tortured the girls so intensely by the end she was covered in their blood and had to change clothes. I think this is where the idea of her bathing in their blood came from. Local folklore took it and turned it into a whole vampire thing. Just a thought. Honestly though, even at 650 girls with the majority of them being peasants that's not that high a number even if it's true for that time period the value of human life in general was low, but peasants were practically livestock.

I have to say you did very well with the Magyar pronunciation, the melting pot of Latin, Turkish, Slavic, and Ugric languages in that region really makes it a minefield!

In my opinion, being a historian myself, she did commit those murders, but (and here’s the controversial bit), she was acting of her time. As kings and queens of the world indulged in brutal killings. But the myth about her bathing in peoples blood… I dunno wether to believe that or to shun it off.

no offense but why were they protestants isn't both Hungary and Poland catholic while Transylvania was orthodox Christian. Elizabeth was a killer, maybe not as much as we think but still. She also tried to poison them what a B and so Brazen.
