Mercedes w124, 230e 1986, bad or no start engine

Problem with my bear. Cold starts very bad, or not at all will not start. When sprayed into the air intake WD40, brake cleaner, or starting fluid, after car is start engine. when the car is heated to operating temperature at position "D" or "R" on the automatic transmission, the engine speed is reduced to 400-500 (x100r / min) and sometimes turn the engine off. someone with that experience ???? thanx for help !!!

Try replacing the fuel pump relay which is behind the battery in my car. My idle gets really slow after adding cheap gasoline. It’s a very sensitive engine with too many variables to keep track of. I also changed my EHA valve which was leaking gas but which regulates fuel pressure. Good thing is you seem to have spark since it idles with starter fluid.

This system needs 5 bar of fuel pressure to work, the injectors need 3 bar to squirt, if your car does this it's probably filter and fuel pump .even if you see petrol flow it must be powerful to squirt petrol valve open.There are other things to check later. Fuel regulator, proximity sensor, ekg valve, idle valve .

I don't think it's getting fuel. It was running off the spray. Good luck.

If you haven't solved the problem yet, check your sensor potentiometer on your airflow sensor. You don't get air at all!

I have a w124 Benz at first I didn't want t start n fuel supply even then I bought a new petrol pump it started suply fuel bt was running too lean the mechanic said I must bring him another full fuel distributor system from anther car then I did so now the car is mixing up fuel and engine oil !when can I do?

Check fuel pressure first. The double check the crank position sensor, and cam position sensor.

Having the same problem with my w124 m102 I have replaced spark plugs and ignition cables then they start up but do not want to idle but leave off?

I had same problem in w124 230te (estate) replaced 2 fuel pumps and fuel filter. Car runs now however only on 3 cylinders.
