There are some more tools that I use for the build. I will list them completely once I do an inventory of all the tools.
I love the cars from Fast and the Furious so of course I had to buy the bundle when Hot Wheels offered it. I love how Hot Wheels have the big rear wheels. Gives it the true muscle car look. I changed the design of the front steering just a little bit and what a huge difference it made. I am able to steer without a problem. It's also because this particular die cast had a lot more room under the fender well. I was finally able to get the tail lights and head lights to work. I had to put them on separate channels. Previously, I thought I could get away with wiring all the lights together and solder them to one channel, but the lights needed more power to have them on so this time, the tail lights went to a different channel as did the head lights.
I also had to raised the rotating servo up on the base plate so it won't interfere with the steering arm. By doing this, I had to relocate the battery to sit on top of the motor. This was perfectly fine, as there were more than enough room in the rear to clear the battery.
In the future, I will have to solder the lights directly to the receiver because the connectors have proven that even though they are small, there just isn't enough room to spare on the inside. With just two extra connectors, it was hard to pack everything together and close it off. I couldn't do it at first that's why I had to relocate the battery.
Overall, I am satisfy with the build.
