i agree, you can spent thousands a month on beauty products and treatments but if you aren’t at peace on the inside it’s not the same

Journaling before bed has helped me sleep better! And replacing scrolling on social media with fiction books. Your local library is free, and good sleep is so important

The best glow up is becoming disciplined, building confidence from the inside, and understanding how blessed you are right now.

you talking about the effects of social media is something I WISH people would talk about more!!! i started a social media detox a few months ago (bar youtube since I use it for educational content/selfcare/working out and its long-form), and let me tell you it feels like I can see everything so much clearer. the chokehold tiktok had on me is crazy. I'm so much freer now, reading more, better attention span, more productive... the list goes on. anyway, great vid!! :)

Doing my own lash lifts and tints, and my own eyebrows etc. gives me a sense of confidence like, "Yeahhh I've got skills" XD

as much as people would argue with me on this topic, money does not always equal happiness. 100% agree with you, no matter how much money you spend or all the products you use, if you're not doing well internally, mentally, emotionally it will show through the "glow up" you're trying to achieve physically. (not that glowing up can't be physical, it's a bonus like you said, but the internal glow up shows through)

My Grandad and mum would always say to me it’s ok to like unhealthy foods or not be healthy for a while as we all go through struggles/trials with food, as life gets in the way, but always try to do *everything in moderation* and this has stuck with me when I’m struggling. I hope this helps people as well 🤗

1:00 THANK YOU for acknowledging the mental and long-term physical glow up creators 😭 my biggest nightmare is being stereotyped as a typical influencer that promotes the exact opposite of these values. they don't realize that we're not "glowing up" because we want to, but because we HAVE to (e.g. mental glow up bc we've been hurt, dealing with trauma, HEALING ourselves). it takes sooo much time to do this and it looks so different from these stereotypical surgical or as you said "instant gratification glow up"

As an Indian girly I'm blessed enough to not having to worry bout getting lashes/eyebrows/hair done EVER! Some vaseline on lashes/brows look like lash lifts on me ..I just invest in skincare as much as possible instead of makeup/procedures. Minimal Skincare+ good diet+ max sleep is THE KEY.

Best way to be beautiful and glow is definitely focusing on health, eating the rainbow, cutting out sugar, finding healthy foods and meals you like, lifestyle change etc etc. Good health will always win. However, it takes time to do this so reming yourself it’s a lifelong change not a “in a month” “in a week” change. ❤️ 😊Good things take time

I feel like our generation (genz) is VERY focused on shortcuts, more than any other generation. We want the higher paying jobs without school, we want the social media income not 9-5s, we want lipo instead or a gym membership, we want buccal fat removal instead of a better diet and we want veneers instead of less alcohol consumption and whitening or traditional whitening techniques and braces that take time

Whole 180 not 360 because 360 means u end up facing the same way 1:16

Girl, I'm so glad you say what needs to be said. Everyone needs a friend who gives them a gentle reality check after all the internet brainrot grabs ahold of us. I feel like I've been having an internal glow-up since November, I'm in the process of it and it's really changing how I act and how I look, how I go into the world and respond to people etc. and it feels way better than any overnight haircut and makeup glow-up (although I'm still adding that stuff to this glow-up, it's just not my main source of joy here).

I love pampering myself, hair, nails, skincare. Learning how to do these things was the best thing I’ve done for myself because not only do I feel super pretty after but it’s also creative and fun

Yes! I have an autoimmune condition, but I didn't want to do the medicine that's basically baby chemo and will result in nausea, hair loss, and so many other things. Instead I'm doing an anti inflammation diet and MY GOD, I haven't had ANY flare ups. Cutting sugar was such a big thiing

i'm SHOCKED that nobody else has commented on you basically paying yourself to do your own nails every time, its GENIUS!! <3 i'm gonna apply that to so many areas of my life to save money :D

The only issue with glow up diets is that they can cost a lot, more than most can afford. We need to make healthy diets more affordable so more people can actually glow up.

liked instantly under a minute. Fast and expensive glow up vs. the hard worked and slower glow up which just hits different

Let me tell you during my college years I learned how to do everything myself and always get compliments on it which boost my confidences.. I rather purchase the products and DIY it I save a lot 😊
