I like both games, but the season 1 of the first descendant is just underwhelming right now. I'm still hoping that it will get better as the game progresses, and here's to hoping that we also get epic content from warframe.

The one thing you got wrong was Warframe Trading. Waframe came out on PC March 2013. IT was released WITH PS 4 on November 2013. I downloaded the game in December of 2013 on PS4. You could trade in 2013 the same year it came out. IT WAS NOT YEARS LATER!

the worst part is that you have to grind amorpheus pattern, then u have to hit a 15% chance, then farm the other materials, and then craft the weapon. and in order to get the most out of your gun u have to do that 4 times for each of the 3 parts, then u have to socket a energy activator which is gonna take the same amount of time and after that u have to level up your weapon 6-7 times. the amount of time that u have to put into this game is onboxious. i like the game, but i cant play it whilst having a job, that why ill stick with warframe

Warframe wasn't perfect when it released. It took time, and at one point, things were really, really bleak. It wasn't until a recent change in management that the game is heading in the direction it was always meant to be in.

TFD despite the issues with Season 1, is in an astronomically better place then Warframe was on release, and ultimately will continue to get better. Folks just need to chill. If a year goes by, and nothing note worthy happens, then ok, but the game ain't even been out 3 months yet.

I love both games and hope they both continue to thrive. ❤️

The only thing that tips the scale for me towards First Descendant is the art style. I tried to get my wife and fireteam mates into either game. They only came to First Descendant based on art style… in their opinion “Warframes are ugly. Descendants are pretty.”

I still think the solution is breaking down trash parts to make the parts you want or at least make more amorphs of that type.

Its crazy having like 15 ajax parts when farming that 1 viessa part. If you have that many useless parts they should just let you break it down for the part you wanted to get.

My grind is going well, the only thing I don't have is Haley. The content is not hard, it is just annoying and not fun when they gated it for solo play. If I wanted to play solo, I would play any of the offline games that exist and not an Online Only game.

This is how I feel right now.
Am I sevagoth main and haven't farmed his prime version yet. So with TFD slowing down I'm going to farm in Warframe for awhile until things kick back up.

The biggest problem with TFD is the barrier of entry for newer solo players. Yes, it emphasizes squad based play but not everybody has a squad ready to grind with them at any given time for any given mission. Some missions in TFD simply cannot be beat solo in the early game. Compare this with WF where you can not only clear 90% of the star chart solo but squadding up is largely optional. Add to that, in WF you can begin upgrading your frame(s) with forma fairly quickly. Compare that with TFD where its equivalent of forma is only made available to you fairly late into the game and is a huge pain to farm. Forma in WF drops like ripe plums and you're never short on blueprints or resources to build them. In TFD, just grinding for the equivalent stuff feels like you're being punished for playing the game for free. Considering the game is coming behind WF, the whole "its still a new game, give them a chance to make improvements" argument just falls flat. Nexon have already seen how its done thanks to DE so they have no excuse for not better emulating their example, Then there's the leveling. My God the leveling! In TFD I know of only 2 missions where you can grind levels at a good pace, whereas in WF I can think of at least half a dozen off the top of my head. Again, don't tell me they need time, they've had it and haven't really used it effectively.

My opinion is that TDF doesn't have a choice atm. It's relatively light on content and any way to reduce the grind would just make the people grind stuff faster, leaving them with nothing to do. So they need to balance it and try not to piss off too many people while they get a bit more meat on the bones.

Time gating (Hailey) which is effectively 30 minutes for 12 days (originally) wasn't a bad plan tbh.
6-10h (rng) of different gameplay that the players are not used to, using their best descendants to benchmarks their skill/power. Great on paper, only 6h * (rng), new challenges, little outside of comfort zone but not too much.

Main issue is that the 6h isn't fun. That's the area where they need to improve (and quite a bit). Make it more fun and people wouldn't mind grinding 10h per day (like they do in "dungeons") for total of 30h+.

Final Fantasy 14 had relic quests that required several times more of that (at the time of release) and it was (still is) a game with a subscription... And people grinded that because they wanted the relic for the new (at the time) raids.

As for Warframe, I also think that they don't have choice with it's systems.

Everything that is (semi)old content needs to be breezed through so that people get faster to mid/late game content. It just has too much "fat" that players would need to go through to be able to play with their friends (on the same/similar level). Similarly, how WoW in Shadowlands, Blizzard increased exp gain to get to the level needed for Shadowlands (iirc maybe i am misremembering stuff, but i think they did something like that).

So in practice it wouldn't be hard for TDF to copy (more) Warframe systems, it's just it wouldn't be good at this point in time.

Example : We got a major exp buff few days ago. It will probably increase the sales of "forma" through the shop and people are more likely to increase the number of descendants that they are playing (especially after the news that we will get a feature which will allow you to copy your investment from the basic descendent to the ultimate descendants).

I am also expecting a similar strategy for weapons, after we get more useful ones. If you think about it, they could have easily "fix" weapon exp as they did for character exp if it was good for the game. As it currently stands, with like 4-5 really good weapons, that wouldn't be good for long-term.

But after the reworks/rebalancing of ultimate weapons and maybe adding transcendent mods for weapons, that would make sense and be actually beneficial to the game/user experience and selling more stuff through the shop.

Just so you know, since I saw your void Riggs weapon build prime dual rounds is a thing now so be sure to grab it when you see it as it’s a really powerful mod for our guns and cornbot

I feel like you forgot what the relic system used to be. Void Keys, the worst prime system that has existed in Warframe. Amorphics are very similar to that old system.

After eleven years playing warframe, the first descendant MR 26 farming is a walk in park for me ❤❤❤

5:08 I would hardly disagree with anyone saying that. Why should FD wait with implementing that just because it took WF so long? It's been proven to work now for a long time, WF did all the work already and you can just put it into FD as it is and we KNOW it would work.

I hear a lot that “warframe started this way but go many updates over time to fix it all” imo that’s no excuse to say what time we are in …. They literally made the game basically based from other games “d2…warframe” so why would they miss out on adding features and game play that should’ve already been added? Analyzing other games should’ve already taken into account what all they want in there game for us to enjoy but it’s all a money, ,, we’ll get bits and pieces at a time while overtime they just upload features and content that they already been had or had in idea.

I also hear they've made the voidrig farm really easy now. Tbh, I have even made a lil plat farm out of it cus as long as you farm resources from the obelisks in deimos you will be fine for the most part

TFD is cool but the melee weapons in warframe are so sick xb i wish we eventually get some stuff like that...plus warframe allows me to recollor my weapons and frame whenever :D

I stopped playing before season 1 cause the grind was getting ridiculous. Maybe i will come back to it next year and see how things are.

The same thing i do with warframe. Take months long breaks. The only difference is i take breaks in warframe because i feel like i am in a good spot where i have done all i wanted to do vs first descendant where i don't want to grind myself to dust.

Im not pissed at the game one bit! The game looks amazing and I love how brutal it can be, farming. Its like the real world at times. Im not surprised the younger generation are the majority that are complaining about the game, thinking they put enough hours into getting the part and now deserve it. Warframe RNG was much the same when it released. My friends and I played that to the point where we were competing everyday to stay on top of the Defence leaderboard, all while using the keys to farm and sell parts. I like how I could be farming for weeks for a part and my mate joins in and gets it in the first half dozen spins. That's not a bad thing one bit, that's RNG. We have a laugh about it and move on. I dont know if its because im in my late 30s and experienced how brutal life can throw at you, this games RNG mechanics has me looking forward to jumping on every afternoon after digging pools all day, sinking 8hrs in before bed and doing it all again the next day. Even going back to my Warframe times, with the 24+hr stints on the weekends.
I hope you guys dont destroy this very adolescent game with these videos, because this is all I've seen on yt since season 1 released. As we say in Australia when people complain about life, go to Bunnings and grab a bag of harden tf up 😂, go home, equip Viessa and her one piece and appreciate what we have, an amazing game. And also be thankful that this go in the direction Valorant did...
Love you guys, thankyou for the tips as it helps us alot, maybe sends these vids to the devs only as they seem to care more then any dev team I've seen in my 30 years in gaming! ✌️
