The amount of disrespect smh. This team has sent home the champions of France, last year’s champions of Europe and now the champions of England in just a couple of months. Steve nichol disrespects Madrid at every turn....the more he doubts Madrid the more Madrid rises to the occasion. People are concerned about styles, dominating a game, but at the end of the day it all comes down to winning and exploiting the weaknesses of your opponent.

Talk about being salty from Steve. I don’t usually speak out but this is out of hand. The amount of disrespect this Real Madrid side receive is disgusting. Ancelotti doesn’t get any recognition. Madrid literally won the league with 15 points. Managed to make it to the final of the UCL won the copa these things just don’t happen to any other team. These ESPN guys are all just salty they didn’t get both of their English teams in the finals. You have to realize that football isn’t about who is the better side or what team is tactically better. This sport is about which team has the most goals after 90 min. It’s the way it is and it’s the way it has been since a ball was ever kicked it’s not about which teams created the most chanced and didn’t score. It’s about which team scored the most goals and that was Madrid. It’s no one fault but city’s the reason they didn’t fancy their chances while Madrid did. So stop it with the how is this possible because you can have the best players in the world and still lose a match. The game is simple score the most goals and you advance to the next round and that’s simply what Madrid did somehow so give them the respect they deserve single handily took out europe’s top teams on their quest to their 14th UCL trophy. If Madrid managed to be successful this season wining then league cup and reaching the UCL final just imagine what they’re capable of next year after they sign mbappe and other talented players. After this season everyone should fear Madrid because anyone who Madrid comes knocking for will be impossible to refuse to want to come play for them after they witnessed history in front of their own eyes

I think the one factor many have not taken into account is Real Madrid has wrapped up the league title, whereas Liverpool has to juggle the league and Champions League. Can't rest the squad so they have a higher probability of picking up injuries. Madrid's entire focus for the next four weeks will be on Liverpool which will claw back some of the advantage Liverpool have on paper.

Real's biggest challenge when facing top clubs has been the high press. The back four are 🗑️ in possession so the mids have had a harder time getting onto the ball. Carvajal is ok up the pitch but needs at least one more guy down back who can hold the ball.

I have NOTHING against Liverpool, but I have yet to hear him say him anything of the sort about Liverpool when they haven’t been anywhere close to dominant against any of the 3 teams they faced, all while being SIGNIFICANTLY easier than who Madrid had to face.
