FreeCAD - Linear Patterns - 3D printing

Created for the intermediate user, this video will show you how to quickly create a model and 3D print it. - It demonstrates the use of the very powerful "Linear Patterns" in FreeCAD.

When I saw that print at the end I realised there is something seriously magical when you see the thing that you modelled on your pc manifest in the physical world :D Great vid!

Just hopped on board the prusaslicer train myself. Was using cura for a long time before as well. Really satisfied with the switch. Great job on the video, getting a lot from these.

Prusaslicer is getting better all the time

Prusaslicer can upload directly to Octoprint, but the setting is a bit hard to find. Select the Printer Settings tab, then select the gear icon. Put in your API key from Octoprint. I have two printers, each with their own Octoprint. Select between printers using the printer menu on the right side. After you slice, you will see a "G" icon to the right of "Export G Code" that transfers the gcode directly to Octoprint. I go back and forth between Prusaslicer and ideaMaker. Both are excellent and can upload to Octoprint. There are some STL files that Prusaslicer cannot process successfully and the same with ideaMaker.

This doesn't create the domino, just the box? I was thinking it is was about creating the linear patterns on the face of the domino by the thumbnail and title.

Can you tell me why when I want to start a line on my sketch, the whole plane turns and it doesn't let me make a line o what ever I want to draw. I rotates like when you want to rotate the solid? thanks

Love your videos. Question - how do you get such smooth holes on your export? when I do it from my Mac FreeCAD they are rough, I have to run through the mesh workbench first even considered blender to smooth. Is there a setting I might be missing? Lastly I switched over to PrusaSlicer a few months ago as the latest Cura REALLY was no longer working nicely with my Ender 3.
