How were you able to get permission to film inside the center of Florence and San Gimignano, both ENAC protected zones?

Keep in mind that if you did not get a specific authorization from city hall and a waiver from ENAC (the national civil airspace control agency in Italy), most likely your drone footage
is illegal. Florence and other medieval cities are ENAC protected sites and cities, and it is illegal to film without special permission from the city and ENAC. Many foreigners like you fly their drones illegally over the old cities, risking people's safety and breaking the law. They hope to leave with the footage without getting caught, taking advantage of Italy fewer inner-city controls and enforcement. Until a drone falls, hurts someone, or gets stuck in a building causing incalculable harm. Then all the shit will hit the fan. It is something you should take into account.
