Congrats to the Caps! We were the better team in 2016-17 but they were absolutely the better team in 2018! I hate the Caps but I'm pulling for them to win this cup... it's hard to win this time of year and its only right that the Caps make a run through the Pens! Enjoy it D.C. it's your time... halfway there!

Walker certainly did have an interesting journey, first Aussie to play an NHL game with the Caps, sent to the AHL, traded and put on the AHL team, traded back to the Caps for nothing, called up in the playoffs to fill an injury slot and is the first Aussie to play in a playoff game and get an assist. All in the same season and it happens to be the season the Caps finally beat the Pens in the 2nd round

I swear I've watched these hi lights 35 times.... And dammit I'll watch them 35 more times!!!! It's been tough to be a Caps fan these last couple playoffs, but FINALLY we beat those GODDAM PENGUINS!!!! :)

I started to really believe in the Cup after this. -Not because we beat Pittsburgh, but because Ovie was not at all emotional after the game. His face was like: "only halfway".

The Capitals advance to the Eastern Conference Final for the first time since 1998 when they went to the Stanley Cup Final. The Penguins' first playoff series loss since the 2015 NHL Eastern Conference 1st Round against the New York Rangers.

Also I guess this is the year Ovi finally gets to the finals where Fleury shuts him out proving it was never Crosby's team he couldn't defeat but Fleury's.
