Giverny is a relatively small parish/ hamlet of approx 500 people in the east south-east of the French region of Normandy!
Giverny is propably most known for the well known French impressionist Claude Monet, who owned a house there back in the late 19th. and the early 20th. century and it`s the place where he actually created and painted his famous series of paintings of and around "The Water Lillies"!
