「One Step Closer」 は、7月5日（金）より第2クールを迎えた大人気TVアニメ「フルーツバスケット」のエンディング主題歌で、メンバーのウィリアムが原作を読み、書き下ろしたグループ初のバラード曲。

「フルーツバスケット」（原作・高屋奈月）は「花とゆめ」(白泉社)において、 1998 年から 2006 年まで連載された大人気 少女漫画。全世界コミックスの累計発行部数は 3000 万部を突破（コミックスは全 23 巻、愛蔵版は全 12 巻刊行）し、 2001 年にテ レビ東京系で TV アニメ化され（全 26 話放送）、 2009 年には舞台化を展開。

連載が終了し 10 年以上経った今でも根強い人気を 誇る作品。
