Mr Singh. I work on cloud computing for living, and I have been assigned to explore this area (industrial automation), specifically the cloud features of PLCs for an upcoming assignment. I’m able to understand most of it, minus the electrical side of things. I’m having trouble finding out how to get license for TIA portal? I can’t find anything on Siemens website about it.

I'm in the U.S. and only use RA - Rockwell Automations software and this would likely be Studio 5000 for logic access as in similar software. I'm not sure where a similar check box will have to be checked as compared to siemens to allow 3rd party communications to the ignition software. Otherwise very understandable and well explained.

Are the put/get and optimized block access setting changes required for OPC-UA? I thought that was specific to using the S7 driver.
