This hotel was originally known as Hotel New Hong Kong and opened in 1971. The hotel changed names several times for various reasons, the last one being on 1 January 2010 when the hotel was renamed to its current name. The hotel underwent heavy renovations from 1985 and reopened in April 1986, and it was likely then that the lifts were replaced. I have zero clue on who made the original lifts in the building. In the late 2000s/early 2010s the interiors of all 3 passenger lifts were refurbished and the COP of each loft was replaced. The rightmost lift was modernised sometime in the mid 2010s, and the middle lift sometime in late 2019 to early 2020. This leaves the leftmost lift as the only lift with Elevonic 401 controllers left, and I really hope it won’t be modernised.
