Lead Holders: Caran D'Ache 77 - This is an excellent lead holder; this is a Caran d’Ache Fixpencil 77. They’re made out of aluminum metal, and they last indefinitely. You can see here, with this lead holder, I can use sandpaper to create a very long and conical tip. I’ll explain why that is important. I can bring this out as much as I want; if I really want a very, very long point, I can take out as much as I want. In fact, I also use these lead holders as measuring tools when I need to measure a standing figure. A regular pencil wouldn’t be sufficient, so I almost double the length of the pencil and use it as a measuring tool.
