What is the sum of all the odd or even numbers from 1-100?

This is a question that eats up a LOT of time during tests. That's why I tried my best to show you my method. Hopefully, you'll be ready to face this question when it pops up in your next exam.

Pwede po yung n(n+1) pag sum of even numbers then n² pag sum ng odd numbers.

n= number of terms

n(n+1)
25(25+1)
= 650 (same answer)

25²
= 625 (same answer)

Hi Thank you Ms. Lyca for this video. It helps a lot. I prefer to use the formula. But instead of the given formula I use
S= n(a+b)/2

a = first term
b = last term
n = number of terms

Mas mabilis makuha ung answer.

salamat mam Lyca, more power for creating educational videos, learning a lot from this!

S = n (a + n - 1) applicable po ito para masolve ang sum of consecutive odd/even numbers or sets with d=2

Shortcut to find number of terms, larger number minus lowest number then divide it by 2 example 1 to 50 is (50-1)/2 = 25 this will be the number of terms

Is there a faster way to know the number of terms without listing them down?

There are simpler formulas. For even =n(n+1)
For odd =n^2

May nakita po ko formula for computing sum of odd or even numbers in a series
S=(n/2)*(a1+a2)
S is sum
N is number of odd or even sa 1 to 50
A1 is the first number ODd or even
A2 is the last number odd or even

Hello po, by watching this tutorial I understand it better, and at the end naisip ko instead of listing the numbers one by one.... I end up making this method.

Step 1. Divide the last number by 2.
Step 2. Multiply it to the last number.
Step 3. Divide it again by 2....

This method works in your given examples.... 😇
