Floodlit Golf Range Session #HelpMyDriver

Floodlit Range session up at Exminster Golf Centre. Just working on keeping the golf swing more controlled. I did notice that my alignment was way off, although alignment rods were aiming directly at target I was still standing closed to them, therefore pulling the ball back online. Need to work on opening myself up.

I feel your pain on the driver - had the same issue recently where my irons were perfect (prob best they've ever been) but driver was a heinous smother hook I couldn't get rid of. I found giving myself much more room to clear my hips really helped, whereas I stand much closer to the ball on iron shots to get that great compression. The incremental room got me back to sweeping/upward swing which has helped (still needs work!). Found your channel on the 2-iron-stinger vid - good luck!

Oh my!!! Now that's a radical swing change ... liking that a lot. Have patience, it will start to work with the driver. I reckon it's you needing to unlearn the old release pattern and trust the new. It will come good.

Love your swing Harry especially in this video. I see much more of a balanced combination between power and swing. I won't say the flaws cuz you are a much better golfer than me and I think you can work it out easily. Cheers!

It seems that you have the same problem as me on the woods and driver, what helped me was moving my right foot even more back for the drivers and woods, and my swings felt way more natural and more controlled.

Ain’t no pro Harry! But with your driver the feeling I suggest for you mate is feel as if you pulling the butt of the grip towards the left as you on the follow through Iam sure you will see better results

What's up Harry! I've been following your journey since Day 1 when you were snapping drivers and killing golfers haha. Love the content you post and your swing looks great. I admire your dedication to the process and your time will come based on the work you put in. On a side note, I use a great app called V1 Golf that allows you to view your swing when you are not with your coach. The app has a great database of tour pro swings that you can compare your swing with. You can record your perfect swing with the change and the feeling you have made with your coach so you constantly see it. Any chance you can film your swing face on in your next range session? Wish you all the best brotha! Big shout out to James who's been killing it as well.

I feel your pain... I used to only hit the driver well and my iron game was terrible. I started playing rounds with just my irons and now I own a set of blades and i hit them so buttery... but guess what? Cant get off the tee box with the driver now. There definitely two different swings... golf why you gotta be so hard?

Any chance of a Flower vs Finch course vlog? I think a petition is needed!

Doesn't matter how far you can hit it. Its how close you can hit it that matters. You never see a tour pro trying to rip every range ball. They are never more than 70%. All about accuracy.

Love your ball flight, but you have this over the top move that I just cant get past (it’s so high that it passes through your rt shoulder and neck on the downswing, not good). And it’s prevalent right here 2:12 to 2:35 (severe over the top pulls/slices, even though your feet are extremely open, it’s not gonna fix path). You have to lay it off. No other solution.

I think your problem with the driver is the alignment. You aim perfectly with your upper body but your feet are pointing to the right. This leads to some issues in your club path. You tend to do this with the irons too, but it is more noticeable with longer clubs.

Apart from that your swing is great!

So what's all that business with keeping the bend in your right leg? You didn't use to do that until recently.
Getting it straight in the backswing would help you to turn better with the pelvis and shoulders, it would also get the forearms a little further apart - making everything a bit more relaxed, imho.

What’s shafts in your driver Harry? (Including weight) that could be the culprit 👀

Tee the driver up higher and swing up on the ball.
