How To Align Your RIDGID Portable Table Saw

One of my viewers, Thomas Martin, had a concern about aligning the blade on the Ridgid Compact table Saw R4516 and R45171. In this video I share with you how to align not only the blade, but the riving knife, miter gauge, and the fence. What I've done is grabbed just the inspection segments from my other video "How To Get The Most Out of Your Ridgid Compact Table Saw" and added in the steps for alignment that Thomas is looking. I've also added a segment that addresses aligning the Rip Fence to the miter slot and blade. So, let's take a look.

Outstanding job of explaining adjustments and alignments not covered or not covered well in the manual. Thank you!

This is hands down the most comprehensive video for alignments for the Ridgid Table Saw. This is not the same model I have but nonetheless is still applicable. You got a new follower for your videos.

Thank you so much for this video! I just bought the same saw and started to experience buyers remorse after not cutting square after only a few cuts. Grateful for this video!

Tremendous Thank You!!!! This video alone made me a subscriber! I didn't realize just how out of square my entire rigid table saw was. Trying to build an assembly table and you can imagine how frustrating it can be when nothing is square...

Thank you, I have a Delta 10" job site table saw that I am attempting to square the miter to the blade and the fence. Ill check the table saw and see if it resembles the rigid configuration and will attempt to square it. Glad I saw your video; I've had my saw for several years but know that I am using it for more precise cuts, I didn't know about half of the information you provided. I will subscribe and will look forward to more videos.

Great video!!! Exactly what I was looking for. Also I appreciate that it had all the information I needed without a lot of other un necessary stuff or a long winded intro and never getting to the point. Amazing job!!!!

Unquestionably, the best YouTube Video on adjusting/setting up your Ridgid Table Saw. I only wish I'd discovered this video a year ago. It would have saved me tons of aggravation.

Having that screw to fine adjust the blade to be parallel to the miter slot is a amazing feature! I can’t believe more saws don’t have that. My Bosch table saw that costs two to three times as much has to be tapped with a wooden block and when you tighten the locking screws it always moves.

I got saw happy and didn't check mine right out of the box. 😂 I'm glad I've been practicing on cheap wood. I have the manual but I like hearing/seeing people explain these tips. Thanks for the video!

My name is Brent, i found a different way to adjust the rip fence. there are 2 bolts at the front of the fence, there is play at the back of the fence, losen the 2 bolts, adjust the fence as required, re tighten the bolt.it worked for me. thank you.

Excellent quality video, great info. I recently got the new Rigid 4514 with soft start, quick stop and a stand (black Friday special), and wasn't sure how to "tune" it. The blade was a few degrees off 90 and 45, now it's only about a degree off, and I can live with that, thank you!

This was so helpful. I was mad enough about the fence on my rigid that I was thinking about returning it for a DeWalt but I'm going to try your suggestions!

I have the 4517 Saw, which is this one with the stand. I can't get the darn thing to cut straight. I have watched other videos on how to fix other saws, but couldn't figure it out on this Ridgid. Thank you much. This is going to help a ton.
