As a child of Native New Yorkers, when it comes to BASKETBALL. New York will always be a KNICK town.

I always considered the Nets to be a local team even when they were in New Jersey. Growing up locally in NYC, you could always catch the Nets on SportsChannel and the Knicks on MSG. Now that I live in another city, my natural instincts as a native New Yorker will always be to flip to the Knicks game on TV, but I've actually liked the Nets even as a kid. I never had a real die hard allegiance to either team, but I lean towards the Nets.

NY Knick fans are one of the most loyal fanbases. In the modern NBA where bandwagoning is the new norm... Knick fans don't get enough credit for sticking with their team through the thick and thin.
