Acaia Pearl Scale Turning On and Off Modes

-With the scale powered off, press and hold the Power button.
-When "SEt" displays, continue to hold down the power button and press the T button until the scale beeps and shows "F.0000". This is the password menu for the scale.
-Long presses (press and hold) of the T button advance to the next digit, while short taps change the value of the digits (1-9).
-Enter "0000" by pressing the tare button for half a second four times to advance through each digit

The scale will display SLEEP, and you are now in the settings menu
Tap the T button to cycle through the settings
To enter the sub-menu of the setting, you would like to turn off, press and hold the tare button
Tap the tare button to change the mode from On to Off
Once you made your selection, press and hold the tare button to exit the sub-menu
Tap the Power button to exit the settings.

Node_1 Espresso Mode turned off by default
Node_2 Weighing + Timer Mode
Node_3 Timer Starts with Flow Detection Mode
Node_4 Beverage Mode
Node_5 Auto-Tare Mode

*During startup, do not release the power button until you see F.0000. Often users will release the power button when SEt displays and the scale will just power on for normal use. If you do not tap the tare button when SEt displays, the scale will display 2.0.001, 2.0.008, or 2.0.009 (your firmware version) and power on for normal use. There's a little bit of rhythm to the timing so users don't accidentally enter into the settings menu when they want to brew coffee.

What an insanely complicated/cryptic process. How is this not just managed in the app settings?

An app with setting for the scale would be the modern way of doing things. This is ok for low end product, not for a product of this price/caliber/prestige/fame. Not cool.

Well that took like 10 minutes to figure out, but once you know how it works it's pretty easy. I really wish you could play with these settings through the phone app, but I guess now that I know it's kind of OK.

strange, mine does not change modes when you do that... just turns on or off and/or shows the weight of your finger tap

Gotta love the future. Clean minimalist aesthetic but have to enter the konami code to change settings. I had to give up and do it through the app to add modes lol

Maybe sacrifice the aesthetic a little and add buttons for the next iteration please. Instead of “hold this button for 5 seconds” and “triple tap this one”. It’s a good scale otherwise

Turned the modes on and my scale doesn't have the led light. Only the two first modes work nothing else

hi. how do u fix the loose connection of the acaia. i got 2 scales but now they are all loose. the usb connector wont charge. i have to wiggle the cable here and there and find the sweet spot in order to recharge. appreciate if u could give me some tips on how to fix it. thanks in adv.

I just updated the firmware on my Pearl, but it still will not hold the auto-tare setting.
