What the Fanta?

#whatthefanta ! Brand new Fanta flavor just out in Japan, but it’s a “mystery” flavor. Just went through 2 bottles and still can’t figure out the taste. 🤔

It’s fruity and kind of tastes like cake. Any guesses? I’ll let you know when I find out!

What is the mystery flavor? The answer is “apple pie”.

It’s probably a mix of leftovers of other Fanta. That’s what Dum Dums do with their mystery flavor pops.

My guess was Vanilla violet, with maybe some strawberry in there.
Vanilla is a for sure, but I was also getting fairly distinct floral notes, maybe it's the color but it reminded me of Parma violets.

At first I thought it was strawberry & cream, or vanilla strawberry, then I got suntan lotion vibes. But settled on vanilla violet

We have the same mystery Fanta in the UK with the same colour and the flavor was strawberry cheesecake

If this is the same as the German one, my guess would be blueberry cheesecake. Pronounced vanilla notes with some cream cheese-ish tinge and a weird fruityness.

I can't handle the artificial sweetener taste... I can't tell the difference between zero sugar stuff! It just gives me a burning sensation in my mouth and stomach. 😢 (And diarrhea...) I tried the purple one, just this sweetener taste to me. My parents hated it too! 😂

We had this one like last year already, but ours was more pink than purple. Weird generic fruit flavour.

They have had it here in Poland for ages and usually the fruit drink base gives it away (I don’t understand polish well 😂)

I do find it slightly amusing / mildly awkward that they are kindof doing the original concept of Fanta when it was invented as the invention/history of it is a little
