i am still using an iphone 14 base model and i plan on upgrading to iphone 17 pro or 18 pro. The new ios 18 made iphone 14 a completely new phone. better battery, very useful new features.

iPhone 14 only supported a couple more years??? The iPhone XS, which came out 6 years ago, is still supported under iOS18. The iPhone 14 is just two years old. And the iPhone 14 and iPhone SE 3rd gen are basically the same phone. Apple will still continue to support this until all the millions of iPhone SE 3rd gens, that non tech people have, die.

I’ve had my yellow iPhone 14 for three years and it still works perfectly. I’ve dropped it directly on the concrete several times and my screen hasn’t even cracked. I’ve spilled drinks on it and it’s fine.

I do have a case on it but it’s just a cheap case, not meant to protect anything.

They’re basically the same phone. I was going to upgrade but it’s not worth it. I’ll stick to my 14.

I’m still using my iPhone 7, completely perfect for any task, i dunno why people going crazy for upgrading their iPhones for some tiny features or colors while all the phones are covered

I have my iPhone 11 still, going on 6 or a little less years, it’s been great to me but I think it’s gonna give out any day now. Think I’m going to stick with the upgrade for the 14, although that 10x zoom ROCKS

Thanks for the info. I just returned from an Apple Store, and the word is that current phones will be supported for 8 years or more.

Every iPhone will be dropped while not in a protective case at some point during the three-year contract period (usually on the cusp of years two and three), and it will always fall on a corner, which will dent the chassis, which will render it beyond repair and one is stuck with an ugly phone one wants to get rid of ASAP. The batteries, despite promises to the contrary, are goosed after two years.
