Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite Review | Two major sacrifices...

Reviewing the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite, a fresh 2021 budget smartphone coming hot on the heels of the Redmi Note 10 Pro, and launched alongside a 5G variant. After a week of testing the camera tech, gaming smarts, battery life and other bits, here's how the Mi 11 Lite ranks alongside other budget phones like the Poco X3 Pro and Xiaomi's Note.

This MiUI 12 handset offers similar specs to other great value mobiles of 2021, including a 90Hz OLED screen and stereo speaker setup for your media shenanigans. However, there's no headphone jack here, while the 64 or 128 gigs of storage can't be expanded via microSD. Two standard features found on most budget phones. There's also no 5G connectivity, so you'll want to upgrade if you need that futureproofing.

Still, gamers will enjoy the PubG/COD action here on the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite, helped by the Game Turbo tools and Snapdragon 732G performance. Battery life is strong as well, while the triple lens rear camera does a good job with everyday photos and video, especially if you have kids/pets/something that won't keep still.

It does have an extra slot for memory card. It's a duality with a second Sim card. And also when one gets it, receives an adapter for 3.5 jack stick too.

It has dual hybrid slim slot.. the 2nd sim slot can be inserted by micro sd card.

I really like the front bezels are small and almost symmetrical. From the front it looks like an oversize picel 4a. For specs, go for the Redmi Note 10 Pro. But for Design, I would buy the Mi 11 Lite

CORRECTION: It does have expandable storage, but the SIM tray might make it tricky to spot.

The SIM tray holds one "space" in which you can insert two SIM on flip sides (with their backs lapping on each other). The side of the tray that holds SIM 2 also works as a hybrid micro SD slot.

Assuming Chris is correct and GSM are mistaken regarding the memory card (see my earlier comment) then I have to agree with him, the Redmi Note 10 Pro is a more complete package for this price point. Still looking ahead to birthday goodies time (that's MY birthday) in a few months time the 11 lite 5G is still a strong contender.

In my country, this phone and Redmi Note 10 pro are the same price, so I'll have to go with the Redmi since it has more features for the same price
