Lake Oroville is up 49 feet this year and over 100 feet since the beginning of December. Pretty awesome.

I am so grateful you are here. I have been worried about you. I will pray for your healing. Near Folsom Lake, this is the first dry day we have had in many days. I love the rain but am saddened about our loss of life during these storms. God answers prayers; I prayed for rain numerous times before the season started and here we are! BTW, I use organic vitamin C crystals when I first start feeling symptons of a cold, etc come on. It has really helped me through the years.

According to Lakes Online, Lake Oroville is up about 70ft since December 30. It was 688ft today it's 759ft, up 5.32ft since yesterday at 4pm. 140ft below full pool. There are storms stacking up in the Pacific and the snowpack is way over normal.

Thank you for sharing these updates with us. More precipitation is on the way. I saw a video earlier today that provided information that many dams have limits on how much water they may actually hold at any given time. Most are around the 60% level. It is supposed to be done from some archaic policies, that they must release water so just in case there is a storm that they do not over flow. Couple years ago they were looking at changing it to using the projected weather to determine how much water they will be able to hold. They want to move it to 80%+ at most dams.

Everyone stay warm, safe, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia

Regarding the snowpack in the high Sierras. Remember, this is not dry powder like they get during a North Dakota snowstorm. This is a very wet heavy sloppy snow known locally as Sierra Cement. And when it melts in the spring and early summer there will be a lot more water coming into Oroville. Also another major rainstorm coming this weekend should put a lot more water in the reservoirs.

Lake mead 2 or 3 feet higher then the minimum last year.
Where screwed 🤣.
But seriously these cities need to start using thirsty concrete to reduce flooding and sand mining and increasing groundwater aquifer and soil levels.
Also they need to line the sides of roads and freeways with native plants and trees to reduce flooding heat soil erosion wind noise pollution air and soil pollution co2 too.

88+ft since Christmas Eve, and most of it is going into the Pacific. Man put in levees, too many, they funnel most of the runoff downriver to the ocean, very little aquifer recharge
