This video was very helpful for me. All I had to do was connect to another wifi setting and then connect back to my home, and that fixed it.

O M to the G. I just spent so much time pushing and holding buttons and trying to connect to my computer to update my iPhone XR and NOTHING WORKED. until I came across this video and changed the time and date!! It was set to 1970 and right when I changed it the phone automatically went into update and restart mode (it must have connected when I put in the correct year and got the message I gave to erase iPhone (from find my on another device) !!!! I’ve been dealing with this problem for months. It generally happens when I’m not connected to my WiFi (in public lol) its so annoying. Especially when I use the gps. I appreciate you guys trouble shooting because with out this most of would just continue to press that “cancel” command mindlessly 👍🏼
