Roomette for such a short trip? 😵 One day I want to take an overnight trip either on the California Zephyr from Denver to bay area or on the Coastal Starlight from LA to Seattle. I hear the views are absolutely amazing.

THANK YOU! Finally someone posted a video with real experiences from waiting room at station to boarding, interior space of Roomette, procedures with cabin attendant, etc. Not impressed with their cleanliness--used tissue. Ugh!

The train looked like it needed to be cleaned. The bed looked comfy and the bedding looked clean.

Cool to see you at the Santa Barbara Amtrak station. I actually slept right there by those homeless people on my first week of being homeless in 2020. They do allow it but we had to move early in the morning when the cleaning guy came to spray the ground with water.

Wow, I’m surprised you were able to make a dinner reservation after Santa Barbara! It seems that dinner service winds down shortly after there as they close for cleanup to prepare for arrival. I look forward to seeing your dinner experience in the separate video!

Hi I loved the video I used to live in the santa barbara area and dropped off a female friend at amtrak station a few times. Is the LA union station where amtrak goes do you feel safe there do you need to sit outside or is it all inside? I'm thinking of taking the amtrak from san juan capistrano through santa Barbara to San luis Obispo would you recommend this it goes several times a day. How much was your roomette for the santa barb to LA trip?

I usually used Amtrak but never tried the roomette. I just want to ask if its worth it for the price?
I totally agree kung short trips lang mag coach nalang... you dont need to sleep naman
