Yeah. The problem is that when people stress the genre, they have to criticise them because AN does not follow a genre. In fact, they transcends the genres.

True story bro. Even on SYL he had above average clean vocals. On his recent work he shines. But V.I.T.R.I.O.L. is far more extreme and live it is complicated to do both clean and harsh. There is no possible way to compare both.
