I visited Lithuania a while ago, it's a lovely country indeed. I live in Poland and I've noticed that both countries have many things in common. Any Lithuanians and Poles reading this? Please confirm :)

I am Lithuanian, from Klaipeda city near the sea. I love my city! every thing so nice, modern, pine tree forest (Melnarage to Giruliai ) smell lovely in summer. To many shops, markets with big choose of closes . Beach, bars, dolfinarium, aquarium. Akropolis shopping centre. Every thing very nice there. Love it ! Plase make video about Klaipeda, Palanga, Nida all near Balcit sea.

My grandparents left Lithuania when Germans moved in. burnt there farm & headed to the coast, my grand mother lost her brother on the way. she was 13 & her brother 15 yrs old there mother & father stayed with the farm. she never saw them again. she went back in the 70's to try & find out what happened to them. all records where destroyed when the Germans took over, when she got there the Russians where in charge. very limited to just the tour & followed by armed military guards. 13yr old girl comes to America a lone, finds a job & a place to stay. she loved America.

Awesome video I would definitely argue that kugalis is a close number 1 but it didn't make the list. Also I've never heard saltibarsciai called borscht that would be a Russian or Ukraine dish. But definitely a good video. Anyone reading this that loves potatoes onion bacon and garlic I would suggest looking up and cooking a dish of kugalis

I still remember a while back when I was a manager at a western union. Some new girl was working as a teller. IQ of a chickpea. Caught her about to send money to Lithuania. Seen the customer was African American. Asked the customer where was he sending money. He said….. Louisiana. 🤣

Lithuania also hold the most prehistoric Hunter-Gatherer genom in world, that makes us "the Europens" of whole Europe. Since Lithuanians are homogeneous, in North Norway our ancestory has been found who died 8000-9000 years ago.

There are some very small mistakes: "šaltibarščiai" is cold beet soup made of beetroot, cucumber, dill, green onions, eggs and kefir (you may add milk and some sour cream as well). "Barščiai" or "Burokėlių sriubytė (diminutive form of sriuba (soup))"- is known as borscht is another traditional hot soup, which is also made from beetroot, but other ingredients are different than in šaltibarčiai.
