Iggy Azalea’s concert in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, last Friday sparked controversy over lyrics in her song titled “Goddess”, which social media users described as sacrilegious, and disrespectful to the religious beliefs of the country.

The concert was cut short after the Australian rapper’s trousers split while performing the song.

However, Azalea claims that the wardrobe malfunction was not the reason behind the concert being shut down, but that it was her message of female empowerment that “pushed authorities over the edge”
