Much time has passed since you booked your trip to the distant planet, Gliese 581-G. Now, at last, the day has arrived to embark on the long journey. To help expedite your trip, you will be placed into a deep sleep for its duration, and you find yourself now settled into your cryobed and being readied for stasis. Your dreams will be your only company as you travel through the stars; but in a post-singularity age, your dreams are not always your own.

This was made TEN years ago and it still holds up. Super well made

I've just noticed that you are humming the tune of a bicycle built for two which was the very first song sung by a computer synthesized voice, it's fascinating how much effort was put into this video including just a little Easter egg like that.

I’m still here in 2020, and this is STILL ahead of it’s time.

Anyone else here in 2019? Still hoping for the episode that likely will never come.

I do find it astonishing that work as detailed, precise and incredibly well executed as this, has less views than so many other popular ASMR videos. I dread to think how long it took her, I remember how often it was delayed because she kept trying to improve it and add to it. I know 1.5 million is still an incredible figure but I see it as a milestone video in ASMRs history. (I hope that doesn't sound too dramatic) :D

Genuinely miss when ASMR was like this. These videos were probably the beginning of the peak ASMR era.

3:02 She was humming "Daisy Bell" in the beginning, referencing the IBM 7094 robot which was the first robot that had been programmed to sing. The amount of creativity in these videos is underappreciated!!! 😭😭😭😭

Ally, I haven't gotten a chance to come here yet.  I got to see this for the first time along with everyone else, and I was so impressed with the work you did.  The sounds, the effects---I know how hard it is to edit an intricate video, and you guys are miles ahead of any kind of effects I have ever done, so I can't imagine how tedious this must have been at times.  You should be very proud---I'm proud of you.  Also, I'd like to thank all those who have been really cool and supportive with this endeavor---you guys have been amazing, and your support has meant so much (especially recently).  Thanks for everything.

The script. The effects. The fact she did this in ONE TAKE. Somebody give her an academy award

Hey guys, I'm very sorry I've been out of touch. Not hitting the deadline of the 11th really disappointed me because I didn't want to let you guys down. So I made it a priority to knock out some unforeseen, last minute issues with the video in order to get Departure out as soon as possible. But I had to unplug from social media for a few days so that I could remain focused and expedite the process. I hope you all understand, and I hope you enjoy this episode. I love you guys. :)

A year later, and this video still has the highest production value of any ASMR video on YouTube.

it’s crazy how this was light years ahead of asmr at the time and still is, 6 years later. it’s terribly nostalgic. I miss her

This vid is almost nine years old, and I still return to it from time to time. This is, as far as I've seen, the most amazing ASMR video ever produced.
